Continued from last week’s multitasking skin care product review – introducing the second in line – my holy grail for the past year and half as a moisturiser, foundation, sunscreen, primer, concealer, and irritation treatment, all in one go.
First discovered this recovery cream after my trip to Cambodia in 2018, my skin was inflammatory due to sunburn and over exposed in humidity. The mint colored cream contains a rich and active ingredient called Centella Asiatica, or Tiger Grass, that is super effective in healing sunburn, calming irritations, enhancing vitality, and covering blemishes. And since then, it has been my go-to day cream for the days that I don’t feel like wearing makeup or during vacations that I only want a natural glow.
During this lockdown, I’ve been wearing it everyday as a UV sunblock (long hours in front of screens), a dust barrier, and a skintone corrector. When you have acne or hormonal breakouts before a cycle, using it as a treatment cream can reduce inflammation effectively too.
The texture of the cream is rather thick, spotting the product directly onto the skin is not recommended, I usually take a small amount with a finger tip, rub the product between my palms until they are evenly distributed, and then use both hands to apply all over the face. Once it is applied to the skin, it automatically turns from green to beige, and will self-adjust to your natural skin tone, with a tiny glow but matte finish. There isn’t any fragrance except a mild herbal scent and a little minty soothing feeling on the skin.
Recommending this product to busy mamas or whoever wants to simplify their skincare routines during the day while working from home. I have always believed that less is more when it comes to skin care, give it a breathe whenever you can.
