a little twist about Me.

#TwistofTalk is an interview column (follow along via @alittletwist.blog on IG) aiming to “share an honest conversation”, in order to discover the extraordinaries in the ordinaries in us, that are round us.

To kick start the first episode, I did a little interview with myself as an ice-breaker, by using the random questions under an IG filter called Question + Answer.

Q: Spirit animal?

A: Elephants.

Q: Coffee order?

A: Long Black No Sugar. Ethiopia Yirgacheffe for Pourovers.

Q: Any pets?

A: No. I actually never had one as I went to boarding school at 4.

Q: Celebrity crush?

A: It was Brad Pitt.

Q: Music artist?

A: Cold Play. Yoyo Ma.

Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?

A: A Mom (lol). TV Host. Writer.

Q: Current job?

A: I lead Marketing functions for International (non-U.S markets) at REVOLVE and FWRD; and regionally, I am focused on the business growth in Asia – I define my industry as Cross-border E-commerce instead of the word Fashion.

Q: First thing you notice about someone else?

A: Eye contact. The way they speak.

Q: One positive thing you’ll do today for either yourself or someone else?

A: A random act of kindness.

Q: If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

A: Before I was 35, I lived in China, UK, Malaysia. After all, I decided to move back to Malaysia in 2018, and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Q: Best and worst part of your personality?

A: Perfectionism & Procrastination – they are both the best and the worst. Perfectionism benefited me through my career to be detailed and precise, but sometimes it made it harder to let go. Procrastination sounds loose here, but it does not mean there’s no deadline, I always believed that the best ideas spark when there’s an urge of time; and when it comes to really tough moments, I sometimes “procrastinate” to react or to respond, it gives it a second chance to pause, withdraw, and come back to the decision.

Q: Do you believe in aliens?

A: Yes. And I believe in the existence of other dimensions in the universe.

Q: One thing you are embarrassed to admit:

A: I always fall asleep half way during a movie.

Q: If you had the world’s attention for 3 seconds, what would you say?

A: Love is patience. Love is kind.
